Our continued commitment to pay equity

Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer Teuila Hanson shares an update on our continued commitment to equal pay.

We are committed to doing our part to ensure our employees with comparable skills and similar experience get the same access to opportunity and are paid equitably. At LinkedIn, we have created equitable talent systems and processes to ensure that pay is fair and competitive. This includes recalibrating and adjusting pay as needed as part of our annual and mid-year review cycles.

As part of this process, we regularly conduct pay equity analyses specifically to ensure pay is equitable across gender and race, and when we find issues, we take action and make adjustments. Our most recent  “cents on the dollar” analysis in March 2022 showed that globally women earn $0.999 for every $1.00 earned by men. In the US, where we collect race and ethnicity Self-ID data, employees of color earn $1.00 for every $1.00 earned by white employees. As we move towards even greater pay transparency, we’ve broken out these salary-based comparisons in the US in the table below.

We began publishing salary ranges for all US job postings in June 2022. We have also committed to signing the California Equal Pay Pledge, which builds on our participation in the White House Equal Pay Pledge we signed in 2016. We are continuing work to evolve our approach to pay equity and will continue the work of creating an equitable workplace for us all.
