Our leadership updates
Entering 2021, LinkedIn is continuing to see record levels of engagement from our more than 722 million members as they use our platform to connect, learn and find new opportunities. We’re also seeing companies around the globe continue to turn to our platform to grow their businesses.
To ensure we’re able to continue to accelerate the growth in our business and create a more connected experience for our members and customers, we’re appointing Dan Shapero as our first ever Chief Operating Officer. Dan is expanding his role from senior vice president and Chief Business Officer, and as COO will lead LinkedIn’s global sales, operations, and member and customer success teams, with a core focus on translating the growth in our member ecosystem into acceleration of our business. Dan will work across LinkedIn to foster strategic clarity, fast decision making, and tight alignment for our lines of business all with a focus on helping LinkedIn build exceptional experiences and deliver more value to our customers.
Over the coming months, as we continue to focus on building products that better serve our customers, we’re also going to start bringing together our Talent Solutions, Learning Solutions and Glint teams across sales and marketing into a unified Talent Organization to support the hiring, employee engagement and talent development needs of our customers.
Three members of our executive staff — Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, Melissa Selcher; Chief People Officer, Teuila Hanson; Chief Product Officer, Tomer Cohen — are also being promoted to senior vice president, reflecting the impact each of these talented leaders have on the LinkedIn business over the past year, the role they will play leading the company forward, and the depth and strength of our leadership team. In addition, Josh Graff, vice president of Marketing Solutions for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin America and UK Country Manager, is taking on the role of EMEA & LATAM Managing Director from John Herlihy at the end of March 2021.
These changes will help us to continue to meet the incredible opportunity ahead as the world adapts to the new world of work. We will continue to keep our focus on connecting members to opportunities, building skills and communities, helping customers and members connect with one another, and driving more equitable outcomes.
