LinkedIn Business Highlights from Microsoft’s FY20 Q4 Earnings

Yesterday, Microsoft announced Q4 FY20 earnings. Included in the report on the financial performance were the following LinkedIn highlights:

  • In FY20, LinkedIn revenue increased 20 percent year-over-year (21 percent in constant currency year-over-year). In Q4, we saw 10 percent year-over-year growth (11 percent year-over-year in constant currency).

  • We are seeing record engagement as LinkedIn’s more than 706 million professionals turn to the network to connect, learn, and plan for the future.

  • Content shared on the platform was up nearly 50 percent year-over-year, and LinkedIn Live streams were up 89 percent since March.

  • People will increasingly need to move beyond current domain expertise to learn new skills, and they are turning to LinkedIn. Professionals watched nearly 4x the amount of LinkedIn Learning content in June 2020 than they did a year ago.

  • We are also making it easier for professionals to access LinkedIn Learning’s 16,000+ online courses directly in the flow of their work with a new learning app in Teams that will allow organizations to integrate LinkedIn Learning, as well as their own content, to create a continuous feedback loop between work, skills, and learning needed to upskill and reskill employees.

  • Organizations continue to tap into the combination of LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Dynamics 365 to ensure salespeople have the context they need to sell remotely.
