LinkedIn announces a new office in Mexico, expanding its investments in Latin America

LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, announced today the opening of its first office in Mexico City in 2020, with the main goal of growing its business in the country. Mexico is one of LinkedIn’s fastest growing markets in Latin America and home to our seventh largest member base worldwide. This new office will be the company’s second in Latin America and one of the 30 offices LinkedIn has around the world.

This new local presence will help LinkedIn be closer to its increasing Mexican community of 13 million members, as well as reinforce its relationship with local customers and address new opportunities in all business units. LinkedIn also recognizes Mexico as a country with a great talent pool that will become an important asset for the company’s growth plan for the region.

“We are very excited about our new office opening, because it will allow us to be closer to our Mexican members. Also, in the last few years, we have experienced an important growth in our teams dedicated to the Mexican market and our local customer base, so it is a key moment for us to take this next step. Since Mexico is our fastest growing country in Latin America, it is of utmost importance for our future plans,” stated Milton Beck, Senior Director for LinkedIn Latin America.

LinkedIn is planning on opening its new Mexico office in July 2020. The company will open its doors in a coworking space with a pool of more than 30 sales and support function roles in 2020. All this has worked excellently for them in other cities such as São Paulo (Brazil), Berlin (Germany) and most recently Kuala Lumpur (Malásia). The company is currently reviewing a number of locations in Mexico City and will share more details once confirmed.
