LinkedIn Announces Intent to Acquire Employee Engagement Leader Glint
Glint’s engagement platform gives talent leaders insight and visibility into the overall health and productivity of their workforce
Today, we’re announcing that LinkedIn has signed an agreement to acquire Glint, a leader in employee engagement, that delivers an enterprise-grade platform designed to help organizations do their best work, develop their skills, and improve business results. Based in Redwood City with offices in London, U.K and Lincoln, Nebraska, Glint has more than 300+ customers globally that have adopted Glint’s enterprise-grade AI-driven approach.
We believe that LinkedIn with Glint offers a unique opportunity to transform the talent function in a way that will help our customers build great teams through visibility into the people they have, the people they need, and with the means to attract, develop and retain the best talent.
LinkedIn’s insight into the larger workforce to find and acquire great people alongside Glint’s visibility into the overall health and productivity of the people within an organization will be a powerful extension of our talent business today.
Through Glint, executives also have the tools to answer questions about the health and happiness of the talent they have, while giving managers at all levels the access and insight they need to improve and build thriving teams. Through the combination of LinkedIn plus Glint, we will have the ability to translate the specific feedback a manager gets from their employees on Glint into a personalized LinkedIn Learning experience focused on the topics that will help them improve, thus making the feedback much more actionable.
At close Glint CEO and founder, Jim Barnett will report to Dan Shapero, VP of LinkedIn careers, learning and talent solutions, and Glint will operate as a team within LinkedIn so that they can maintain and accelerate business momentum. All Glint executives will continue to report to Jim with the exception of HR, finance, information security, and legal, who will join the functional teams at LinkedIn. Over the next 12-18 months we plan to functionally integrate the teams within LinkedIn.
We will not be disclosing the financial terms of the deal at this time.
