LinkedIn now available in Czech
Mountain View, Calif. — January 31, 2012 — LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network with more than 135 million members worldwide, today launched a Czech language version.
Nearly 250,000 current members in the Czech Republic and all new members who join LinkedIn in the future can now select the Czech language version right from their homepage.
LinkedIn has a growing membership base in the Czech Republic and the addition of a local language version will allow members to more easily communicate, collaborate and share information with their trusted professional contacts in their native language.
Ariel Eckstein, Managing Director for LinkedIn in Europe, commented, “The Czech Republic – in common with the Eastern European region in general – already accounts for some of the most active and engaged online networkers in Europe. We think the availability of LinkedIn in Czech makes it easier for Czech professionals to tap into the world’s largest professional network and get access to local and international knowledge and expertise.”
Local companies, including RWE Power International, Epson and HP are using LinkedIn to deliver targeted advertising campaigns to clients and prospects through the company’s Marketing Solutions.
Top three industries currently represented by Czech LinkedIn members:
• IT and Software Services
• Telecommunications
• Banking
The addition of Czech follows Swedish, Russian, Romanian and Turkish language versions introduced in 2011 and reflects the continued investment that LinkedIn is making in the European market. In addition to Czech, LinkedIn is available in: Dutch, English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
