LinkedIn Names Dipchand Nishar as Vice President of Products

Mountain View, CA — December 11, 2008 — LinkedIn Corporation, the world’s largest professional network, today announced the appointment of former Google executive, Dipchand ‘Deep’ Nishar, as Vice President of Products. Nishar will join LinkedIn in January and he will be responsible for overall execution of LinkedIn’s product vision globally. Reid Hoffman, LinkedIn Chairman and current President of Products will continue at LinkedIn in a full-time position as Chairman of the company, focused on future strategic direction.

Nishar joins LinkedIn from Google where he held a variety of roles during his six year term. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Product Management with responsibility for product development in the Asia-Pacific region. Nishar also built and managed Google’s mobile business worldwide and played a major part in developing the automation infrastructure for Google’s monetization platform. He was a recipient of a Google Founders Award, the highest employee award given to those who have made extraordinary contributions to the company and has co-authored 3 U.S. patents.
